New Season of the Witch Trailer and Stills Online

Some new stills from The Season of the Witch are online, and I am digging it.

First, in case you hadn’t seen the trailer, check it out here.

I get so hit and miss with Nic Cage and I always hold out hope that he will be awesome.

Here is the new poster and a pile of images from the flick:

I am actually looking forward to this. Please Cage, don’t suck!!

  1. I think that Nic just like his job (and who wouldn’t?) Good film, crappy film, whatever he gets to make movies! I agree that he can be hit and miss on performance, but I agree that may have more to do with scripting and editing than acting. I find it funny that he is making this film AND the Sorcerer’s Apprentice at pretty much the same time. Two films that have similar themes, but are VERY different.

    1. Yeah, i’m sure he just loves making movies, which is fine…but I think after a few dozen duds, he should start being more selective with his script choices.

  2. I think the movie has promise. The only complaint I have is the stupid rock music playing in the trailer which cheapens the whole thing. A good score (imagine Excalibur, LOTR, or Gladiator) would’ve given a better atmosphere for the movie… and yes, Nic Cage in Bad Lieutenant was great. I think his role in Kick-Ass would further save him, but then again he decides to do another Ghost Rider – geesh. Must really need that money.

  3. It’s a shame his great movies don’t get decent distribution or attention and then movies like this (sorry rodney, I’m not convinced on the trailer) get so much attention. Hence, his image of being a crappy actor continues. Bad Lieutenant: Port of Call New Orleans was one of his best performances since Leaving Las Vegas, but it didn’t play in any theater and no one saw it; despite it’s amazing reviews. Bullshit I tell ya. I’ll continue to fight the good fight though and argue with people when they say he sucks at acting and I’ll bring up movies like Bad Lieutenant, Leaving Las Vegas, Lord of War, Bringing Out the Dead, The weather man, etc…

      1. That one too! He’s got a few more I can name, I just didn’t have the time at the moment to type in more but Raising Arizona is another one! One of the funniest comedies in my opinion. Matchstick Men is another as well. The guy just needs the right script and role again. He gets them from time to time, but he’s always flooded with so many bad ones.
