Stars of the ensemble cast Valentine’s Day Jessica Biel and Jennifer Garner are planning on working with Director Garry Marshall on an adaptation of Lavern and Shirley. Penny Marshall, the director’s sister – played Laverne on the original show.
During the premiere of “Valentine’s Day,” director Garry Marshall revealed to ExtraTV that he is planning to re-team with Jennifer Garner and Jessica Biel in a big screen version of the “Laverne and Shirley” television show.
Laverne and Shirley were spinoff characters from Happy Days where the twosome were originally featured as “fast women” friends of Arthur “The Fonz” Fonzerelli.
Marshall insists that this is going to happen and that original Laverne and Shirley (Penny Marshall and Cindy Williams) would make a cameo.
