Mariah Carey has dropped out of Tyler Perry’s latest film for “personal reasons” so the rumour mill is running on extra steam speculating a baby bump.
Carey, who won acclaim for her work in Precious, was set to appear in the adaptation of Ntozake Shange’s 1975 play For Colored Girls Who Have Considered Suicide When the Rainbow Is Enuf. Filming was set to start next month.
But on Tuesday Carey abruptly withdrew from the project.
“I’m not at liberty to discuss her personal life at this time,” Carey’s spokeswoman Cindi Berger says, declining to give a reason for Carey’s withdrawal.
Saying nothing just makes people jump to conclusions, but announcing you are saying nothing narrows down that list of possible conclusions to jump to.
Or maybe she woke up in a cold sweat screaming GLITTER!!! and thought better of the whole thing.
Who knows.
She got acclaim for 5 minutes of shitty acting in Precious? Wow…talk about giving praise where it is undeserved.
