I have to resent the gender-specific comments on principle, but everything else is spot on. I have always liked this movie. I really enjoy action movies that include some humor. Tom Arnold has never been better, and can we just stop for a minute and ponder the wonder that is Bill Paxton in this movie? So cheesy and so funny. I think it is one the most perfectly cast roles of all time.

I watched True lies for the first time on a plane, it was not a good experience, but I got to like it over time, the music score is good, and Curtis is very cute, love the dance

I love this movie, but I don’t think I’d like a sequel. All great films feel too short and leave you with the feeling of wanting more, even if more isn’t necessarily what you need…. Or even really want.

Can I say I would like to see reservoir dogs on FF. When I was a child (18ish), I thought it was a video nasty, as in the young ones. Watching it now it is a well crafted scene driven drama which was a pre-runner to inglourious basterds.

Regarding True Lies, it does seem ironic that Arnie then became governor of california. Cheap jibe aside, it is a great movie and highlights my issue with the Oscars. Why is there no category for best entertaining movie? We go the cinema to be, hopefully, entertained but the is no reward for people who make “commercial” movie.

We cant all be the English Patient, fun is good, Arnie, Bruce and Sly deserve an award for providing us with entertainment.

Agree, this movie really good! One of the best Arnie movie so far. Well, James Cameron directed this, what more could you ask? And , Jamie Lee Curtis really has a great body, that stripper dane? oh boy….

It’s one of those movies that I can watch again and again and never get tired of it… I mean come on, Arnold using a fuel truck as his own personal flamethrower?? Kick ass! and with plenty of snapped necks to boot… Best comedic action flick IMO

There is no reason for a sequel to this because it told one complete story and even if someone did try to build a franchise off of it I think we would end up with “Mr. and Mrs. Bond”. Kinda like that “Top Gun” post from last week I think its better to just leave it be.

For some reason it doesn’t seem like most actions really stand the test of time (IMO mind you) but this is one that does. And like “Gangs of New York” it comes on FX or AMC once every 2-4 months so there’s always a chance to catch.
