More Looks at Chris Evans as Captain America

Yesterday we teased you with the cover, and today we have some of the shots from the inside article showing Chris Evans on the set of Captain America: The First Avenger in the various duds he will be sporting throughout the film.
I really like how he is in traditional leathers with the Kite shield and under the leather jacket we get a hint that there is a blue suit with the star on it underneath. Then later seeing everyone else and a pre-red Red Skull is cool too.
And someone jacked up Evans hardcore. Holy crap does this boy have some meat on him!
No one is going to think Human Torch when they see this character.

YES! I am full hetero male but I had an orgasm due to a man! I love Captain America and these shots are so full of promise the wait till release is going to be brutal.

I like it! They are using a lot of the Ultimate comics version of Cap for the look of the outfit, looks great. They are also giving him the rank of Captain when in traditional Army dress uniform also.(This is from the Ultimate version also in the regular Marvel Universe he was just a Sgt during the height of WW2.)I also hope they model his strenght and other abilities after the Ultimate version. In that version he could leap out of a plan without a parachute, had the ability to lift 2 tons and had superior leaping and healing abilities. The Marvel version wasn’t as strong and needed a parachute to jump from a plan but he never got tired due to his body inability to produce lactic acid. I guess we’ll have to wait and see. Can’t wait cause Cap is my favorite.
Color me optimistic. Cap is probably one of the most difficult Superheroes to pull off without coming off cheesy…Johnston looks like he may have pulled it off, looks can be deceiving though. Cant help but be encouraged by what we’ve seen though. I think the trailer will give us the tone and I think they have nailed the casting, hopefully the it all comes together on the screen.
From what I see the photos given Evans is looking JACKED! HGH! MUSCLE MILK UGGHHH! And I like how Hugo looks pre Red Skull. Good to see the kite shield. I wonder what type of cameo Stan Lee will make? Getting pretty excited bout this and can’t wait.
Rodney I was thinking the same thing he is jacked the frak up. I don’t even think he looks like Chris Evans which is a good thing. He for sure isn’t going to remind anyone of the human torch.
Cool.. I think he is suitable for Captain America roles..
This looks great! The AVENGERS is SUCH an epic project, so many films spread over such a long time frame with such Iconic characters. This has to be movie history stuff. Its like the Bond films, only without a primary character.
Wow! Fantastic! Looking forward for this film. Chris Evans is so hot on this movie. I can’t wait to see him again on big screen.
I have never been that big of a Captain America fan, seeing as I am a small town Canadian boy from way back. But this movie looks like it is going to be impressive because they just keep on coming out with better super hero movies these days. Not to mention, this could be Chris Evans big breakout film. He has played a solid role in the movies; Fantastic 4, Not Another Teen Movie, and Losers, but still needs that major film to get him over that B List movie star hump. I think this movie is going to be a hit and Chris Evans is going to pull off the performance of his career.
Chris Evans is the Human Torch. Tatum Channing or Mark Valley has the personality trait to become Captain America. I’m not sold on it.
You need to double check. Evans as Torch looked NOTHING like Evans as Cap.
Actors don’t need the personality, thats why they are actors. Good actors can change personality for a role.
Totally agree with you Rodney. One prime example of this is Gary Oldman, he just disappears in the roles that he plays. I don’t care if it’s Harry Potter’s uncle, Lt. Gordon in Dark Knight or some crazy evil villian in another movie. We will see how good of an actor Chris Evan’s is if he can totally make us forget or seperate his human torch protrayal from his Captain America. I just hope they have a great story and they get Cap’s fighting style right. It should be something unique.
