Will Smith and Denzel Washington could be teaming for a remake of the 1974 buddy comedy “Uptown Saturday Night” currently in development at Warner Bros. Pictures says Variety.

Bill Cosby and Sidney Poitier starred in the original about two estranged friends who have their wallets stolen at a nightclub. The next morning, they learn that one contained a winning lottery ticket and they set out to find it

Sure, the premise has been done before but it sounds like a fun excuse to pair these two together. Smith and Washington are usually able to garner some attention to their films with their names alone so by combining the two they have instant placement on my ‘radar’. Impressive.
