The Governator has Chosen his Comeback Film

It’s been predicted, rumored, speculated, re-thought, and finally chosen. The Governator is back and better than ever as a former Kentucky derby winner, turned alcoholic after losing his wife and kid, presumably, in a tragic accident. Wait… WHAT?!

Deadline says:

I’ve just learned that QED International has closed a deal with CAA for Arnold Schwarzenegger’s next film, Cry Macho……This pic calls for some acting chops for Arnold as a horse breeder who won the Kentucky Derby but whose wife and child get killed. He sinks into an alcoholic depression and winds up working for a hedge fund jerk who offers him a choice of getting fired or bringing back the rich guy’s son living with the ex-wife in Mexico. Unexpected plot twists ensue, including an Arnold-and-kid road trip back home.

I’m not so sure about the title, but that movie sounds awesome. Sure it’s a little generic but who cares? I can’t imagine him as a horse breeder of any sort but who cares? Saving kidnapped children from what will probably be portrayed as some Mexican cartel is more up his alley than most other actors and It’s got everything needed to become a fun movie with the empathy, nostalgia, and children in danger checkboxes already checked. Now we just have to wait and see if Schwarzenegger can continue this trend of older actions stars kicking ass and showing these youngsters how it’s done. I’ll be sure to share more info as soon as I can!

  1. Arnold should come back with a splash, i hope this is a return to form for him. From reading the description, it sounded very odd and not good. I’m sure the movie will be great though, since descriptions don’t convey all the visuals of the movie.

  2. As long as they put the “I’m a man of science” guy in there crying :Machooooooooooooooooo! I’m in!

    lol
seriously, I’d like to see Arnie pull it off
