Brandon Routh has an infamous internet tale of being cast as Superman for Bryan singer’s film Superman Returns shortly followed by petitioning and almost insistence that he wanted to return to the character. Obviously, that didn’t work out so I’ve been curious what this guy might do to avoid falling into obscurity as I haven’t seen him star in something that caught my interest since. Today, we get a trailer for Dylan Dog starring Routhe to find out.
I’m actually kind of intrigued by what I’m seeing. The monsters seem like something out of Guillermo Del Toro’s sketchbook but I don’t mind that. I’m not familiar with this Dylan Dog character but he reminds me of an amalgamation of Hellboy and Constantine, with the looks of a young Tom Cruise. I’ll put it on the radar, but I’m not fully sold. Is anyone else looking forward to this one?
is Kurt Angle in this film??
It looks fun.
Dylan Dog is a brilliant comic book series. Typically the movie is going to be horrible compared to the source material, but I have high hopes for this one.
BTW, this should share a universe will the incredible film Cemetary Man (same author), which I encourage everyone to check out.
Isn’t this almost the EXACT premise of the Angel TV show? Or a combination of Angel and Constantine… (Angel had a nicer car btw…lol)
looks like a duck to me.
I think it looks cool. I’m in.
I’ll see it, looks kinda fun. Wont hold out for it being great though, keeping fingers crossed.
Maybe it’s me but it looks like he has more of a physical presence in this movie than superman. Referring to his bulk and height.
He was good in Scott Pilgrim.
I think it looks like it could be good but the volume in the trailer is really off and the voiceover sounds like it is in a fake trailer.
It looks like Superman and Jimmy Olsen in an alternative universe.
The flow isn’t right in the trailer. Can’t really get a feel for the movie. It doesn’t seem to know if it wants to be serious or comedic. The Acting seems off too.
I think Routh has something to do with the acting being off
