The Hunger Games are a big deal. A really big deal. Teenagers fighting to the death for their very survival on a daily basis and then buying movie tickets and watching movies like these. Good times.

Elizabeth Banks is in talks to star in “The Hunger Games” as Effie Trinket, a flaky bureaucrat who escorts her district’s young death-match contestants to their fate. Also joining the cast are Amandla Stenberg, who will play Rue, and Dayo Okeniyi, who will play Thresh. Lionsgate would not confirm that Banks was in talks.
I’m beginning to think I need to break my rule and read these books before watching the movie so I can have a clear idea of what this is all about. Yes, I’m oblivious. Aside from the general premise I have no idea what this is about but I guarantee you Elizabeth Banks is more than enough reason for me to want to find out more. Amandla and Dayo are pretty unknown to me so they do nothing for the ‘radar’, sorry.

well, the first one is worth it. The next two…..meh
I personally think the last one, Mockingjay was rubbish. Hunger Games was of course the best out of the three.
Elizabeth Banks would make a really great Effie.
