Ian McShane will be King Brahmwell

Bryan Singer’s next directorial project, Jack the Giant Killer, has a lot of attention as most are looking to see what he comes up with next after taking a 3 year break from directing, and he seems to be packing on the talent for his next picture in order to hit the ground running.

Stanley Tucci is a villain, an adviser to the king with designs on usurping power, with Ewan McGregor, Bill Nighy and John Kassir rounding out the cast.

McShane will play the princess’ father, King Brahmwell, who is none too thrilled about a union between his daughter and a farmer boy.

Mr. Singer has been assembling quite a team of talent for his next flick, which seems to be shaping up quite nicely with today’s helping of McShane rounding out the ensemble. I actually really like this news.

Screw the giant. Look at that face and ask yourself “Is that the face of a father that I want to piss off?”

  1. I love this guy. If you haven’t watched the series Kings give it a shot on hulu… McShane was born to play a king. Looking forward to him playing black beard in the new pirates movie.
