Leaked Mothers Day Trailer Online

Posted by on 18. 01. 2011in News Chat

There is a remake of Mother’s Day coming out this April 1st, and I am surprised we had to wait for a leak before we got to see a trailer.

Check it out.

I haven’t seen the original Mother’s Day, so that its a remake is irrelevant to me. But in this day and age when films get promoted to hell and back up to a year before the film comes out, I am surprised to see this one get a “leaked trailer” a little over two months before the movie comes out. That doesn’t instill confidence.

The trailer looks alright, but nothing that has me by the short hairs.

More remake crap. Obviously lacking the campy tone of the original Charles Kaufman film. Hollywood really fails to understand what made the original films work. There were usually extremely low budget and relied heavily on the filmmakers creativity and ingenuity. The studio system thinks that if they throw money at something it will make it better. This has not been the case at all with the slew of horror remakes we have seen over the past 10 years or so. With a few exceptions, everyone of them failed miserably to capture the spirit of it’s predecessor.

There is a reason why this one was leaked, you can go to Darren Lynn Bousman’s (director) blog and get more information. but this is a rough foreign trailer.

Hmm reminds me of Funny Games. Is this anything like that?
