Look at Lois Lane

We’ve been getting set shots of characters portrayed in the upcoming Zack Snyder reboot of the Superman film franchise. We’ve seen Zod, Clark, Superman, Jor-El, Faora, and today we finally get a glance at Amy Adams’ rendition of Lois Lane.

Idunno. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not one of those guys who’s in the “she’s too old” camp. No, my reservations are much more rudimentary. I’m permanently partial to the Terri Hatcher rendition of the character. Either way, I think she has a much more “around the way” look than I anticipated. I pretty much expected to see her dressed at least in a woman’s business suit and skirt but I guess it’s possible that reporters of today have evolved to a much more urban look as showcased in these photo’s. I’m looking forward to finding out how this all plays out and how the chemistry she has with co-stars Henry Caville and Laurence Fishburne. Oh, and where the hell is Jimmy?!

  1. Going to have to agree with nelson on this one.. Amy Adams is huge concern for me as well.. Would’ve liked to see Olivia Wilde as Lois.

Amy Adams is a great actress, just not great to look at.

  2. You have every right to your opinion and I cant say I disagree with you on Wilde/McAdams, but Amy Adams doesnt look 39, and for all we know Lois Lane is a more seasoned reporter in this story.

Bottom line is we really cant say she is miscast until we see the film and while you can say they could have done better, Id say they could have done alot worse.

  3. Amy Adams is a good and versatile actress no one is denying that and I have nothing against her, but being nominated for multiple oscars doesn’t mean she’s right for the part and the age difference between Henry Cavill and Amy Adams really bothers me and when Man Of Steel comes out in 2013, she’ll be 39 years old which may be a factor if and when they decide to make another Superman movie. I know that’s not a politically correct thing to say, but that’s how I feel. Olivia Wilde or even Rachel McAdams would have been better options.

  4. Olivia Wilde would have been a better choice to play Lois Lane in my opinion. Zack Snyder and Warner Brothers made a huge casting blunder by casting Amy Adams.

  5. Yeah, but this is a new continuity. I dont think Lois Lane’s hair color is one of those immutable iconic images of Superman lore. They have the basics down so far and Im willing to let them show me a new Superman free from anything before it, within reason.

  6. Even in the much bally-whoo’d “New 52” she is a BRUNETTE!!! Could we please have a modicum of CONTINUITY here Mr. Zach and the overlords at DC/WB?????? Not liking the Red/Strawberry Blonde hair dudes!!!! Kappeesssh???
