Michael Douglas beat Cancer!

As Worst Previews becomes one of my most frequented sites, they also bring news that Mr. Gordon Gekko himself has done the unthinkable… He BEAT throat cancer!!!

“I feel good, relieved. The tumor is gone,” revealed the actor. “But, you know, I have to check out on a monthly basis now to maintain. I guess there’s not a total euphoria. I’ll probably take a couple of months of getting checked out. But it’s been a wild six-month ride.”

This is cause for much celebration as one of Hollywood’s most luminous names has just survived a deadly illness. I look forward to seeing Douglas performing his craft again, but I certainly would prefer that he takes this time to continue to take care of himself so that he can return to top form for whatever he does next.

Douglas was last seen and nominated for a Best Supporting Actor Golden Globe in “Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps”.

you don’t ‘beat’ cancer. you survive for a period of time and hope it does not come back. if he knew what was good for him, he would get checked every few months for a very long time

Great news for Michael Douglas, happy to hear he beat such a disease.

To spend more time with Catherine Zeta i too would go to war with illness and do my best to overcome the odds.
