[Dumb and Dumber] has run a bunch of times on TV in the states, and kids will come up and they’ll be able to quote lines from that – lines that I’ve long forgotten. If we could get those two guys back together, Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels that might be a worthwhile sequel – and that ball is in motion. We’re starting to think about what those two dimwits would be doing twenty-years later in life, and hopefully we’ll be able to come up with something worthy of a sequel.
Dumb and Dumber was one of the more successful comedies during the 90′s and helped cement actor Jim Carrey’s career as a star when he first branched out into films. Many had hoped that he would return for a sequel as quickly as he did for the Ace Ventura franchise, but that idea never materialized and instead we were treated to a pretty poorly regarded sequel that failed to capture the interest from the first, mainly as a result of the lack of input from the creators of the original film and its star.
Dumb and Dumber was one of those movies that I adored as a kid and would look forward to checking the TV guide for it’s next rerun. I love Carrey in comedy and would be thrilled to see him return for this in order to show us what Harry and Lloyd are up to 20 yrs later.

I’m all for it, the “Sequel” that came out was actually a prequel of sorts.
great lines from the first?
“Kick his ass Seabass!”
“What time should I pick you up?”
“Quarter to 8?”
“Nah how bout at 7:45?”
“WE LANDED ON THE MOON!!!”
i dont know how well a sequel would work, but i would love to see it anyway because i love the first one. i went to see the prequel in theaters, thats how much i love the 1st one.
but after ace ventura 2, jim carrey doesn’t do sequels, so who knows
That John Denver was full of shit.
Mock…YEAH..Ing…YEAH…BIRD..YEAH…YEAH…YEAH…
I would love to see a sequel to Dumb and Dumber. It was actually really hilarious. It was so stupid and over the top that you couldn’t help but roll on the floor laughing. I can’t look at Jeff Daniels without thinking about that bathroom scene he did. It took a lot of nerve for him to film that. Jim Carrey should stick with comedies, that is where his genious is and I think another Dumb and Dumber would be a huge hit for him.
