Thor and Loki: Blood Brothers trailer

Synonymous with almost every Marvel films release is a promotional animated movie released within the window of the live action counterpart. Today we have our look at the animated movie for Thor.

I didn’t know what to expect from trailer aside from some good ol fashion marvel animated goodness, but what really takes my breath away is the animation style. It seems like something from their line of digital comics collection as it looks ripped straight from the pages of an ‘untold tale’. I’m not completely sold as the use of this style can be hit or miss but it has caught my attention to see how it measures up to previous animated films from the house of ideas.

  1. Ruwan, the Thor & Loki producer here. Really happy to see the enthusiasm and positive energy about Thor & Loki: Blood Brothers. While it was a long process and much work went into making this animation, it was a blast to work on…and hopefully once you get to see the episodes, you’ll find the story and storytelling just as phenomenal as I do. Don’t forget you can prepurchase the season pass on itunes now and download the trailer. :)

  2. I was very intrigued by the art style as well. That one combat shot where Thor and Loki are fighting and then Thor jumps up with his hammer raised, in his classic uniform, lightning in the sky and rainbow from the lens flair was fucking ideal!

Anyways, another interesting note was that they said it is going to be an “epic saga”. If the art style plays out, I would really look forward to seeing more than one with a long, developed story line.

  3. Very interested in this. So since it is download only I am sure it is some sort of digital comic. It looks just like it. I doubt this is an animated movie I mean why limit it to download only on the PSN itunes and Zune. When they just release to those outlets that is for their digital comics.
