Jim Carrey’s latest movie following “I love you Phillip Morris” has him teaming with the titular arctic animals in what seems to be a forthcoming family comedy.
I really really like Jim Carrey as he’s done a fine job of training my mind to look forward to his films thanks to movies like Ace Ventura, The Truman Show, and more. I hate when I see him take a movie that give the impression that it’s up to snuff. While watching this trailer I noticed he did his obligatory “gasp laugh” and they even included a “cheesy hip hop” reference for good measure. This one’s not going anywhere near my ‘radar’.

I think this is going to be a great movie. Jim knows his popularity is in a down-ward spiral, and I think that will make him want to preform the best movie he ever made!
This movie feels exiting and I hope it will be in the same spirit as Yes-man and Horton Hears A Who!
Hope it won’t be like I Love You Philip Morris though. I hated that movie :P
The thing about Jim is you can always tell when he hates one of his movies. He knows this is shit and he can’t mask his look of utter contempt.
I believe it takes very high intelligence to do comedy, and I have no doubt that most of the major comic actors are brilliant people with excellent taste in comedy. They don’t like doing movies like this, but some think the joke is on the audience. Adam Sandler, for instance, seems perfectly happy to steal money from his dim-bulb fans and laugh all the way to the bank, but Carrey always seems to want to do better work. He’s not happy doing this kind of movie. I don’t know how he gets pushed into doing it.
I’m full on all silly things Carrey for a long while (Phillip Morris was great though!)
it looks like my kids are gonna want to watch this. it looks funny enough. i’d rather see this than gullivers travels. carrey can make it work.
