Batman’s new Batsuit revealed

— Posted by The Amazing Anthony

We’ve already had glimpses of Batman’s new Batsuit for the conclusion to Christopher Nolan’s trilogy of bat-films, but now we have an up close look at the costume courtesy of Entertainment Weekly. Got your critiquing hat on? Good, let’s get started.

I’ve always loved Nolan’s redesign’s. They just seem so authentic and this just seems like a natural progression of the costume since Bruce created the first one in Batman Begins. Just for comparison’s sake I’ve included the other costumes below:

Batman Begins

The Dark Knight

**Update** Found some new photo’s courtesy of io9 and have embedded in the gallery below:

Man, Alfred has got to get tired of putting that damn suit back in the display case each time Bruce gets home all bloodied and bruised after a night of prowling. Seriously, Michael Keaton had it right with the closet full of those things with a different one for each day of the month.

They really should’ve left it alone after Batman Begins. Let him turn his head and move around, but the suit isn’t supposed to be a character by itself. Keep it simple.

Yeah, it does seem underwhelming, but to be fair, do you really expect the Batsuit in The Dark Knight Rises to have changed so much after The Dark Knight? I mean, The Dark Knight Rises takes place eight years after the events of The Dark Knight, according to Nolan, and remember, Batman sacrificed his good image to spare the good image of Harvey Dent in The Dark Knight. So, chances are, Bruce Wayne has been laying low for these past eight years, only coming out as Batman to tackle petty crime in the shadows on occasion, doing his best to not draw attention to himeself. So, chances are, he’s really seen no reason to upgrade the batsuit that much, if at all. Just my theory, I could very well be wrong, but that’s just my two cents.

Yeah pretty much. Now it looks like a corportate logo and that Batman wants to be sure everyone sees it. I’m sure there a trademark logo on it but it’s too small to see.

Hell, at this point Nolan should have gone full BATMAN BEYOND and make it red; it’s pretty much how I imagine the Beyond suit would look like in a live action movie anyway.

So how is it different than the TDK suit?
