Lazy Mundaze: Hunger Games, Snow White and Bruce Willis in GI Joe

— Posted by Erik

It’s Monday yet again and we are back with this awful lazy mashup of information and distractions, let us begin!

The Hunger Games Box Office Bounty

I think we all had a feeling “Hunger Games” would do well at the box office but “highest non-sequel weekend premiere ever” was more than I had imagined. For the sequel we better see some Avatar-grade-CGI!

Moviefone reports:

“The Hunger Games” scored $155 million in North American ticket sales this weekend, the third highest opening weekend of all time, according to estimates from Lionsgate.

Only “The Dark Knight” ($158.4 million) and “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2″ ($169.1 million) have had stronger opening weekend showings, giving “The Hunger Games” the highest non-sequel weekend premiere ever. The $155 million bounty also outranked every entry in the “Twilight” series, including the franchise’s biggest opener, “New Moon,” which started with $142.8 million when it bowed in November of 2009.

Snow White and The Huntsman

From the upcoming fairy tale turned major motion picture there is this 5 minute preview and TV spot. Haven’t been paying too much attention to this movie but after seeing Charlize as the queen I sure as hell will be.

New photo of Bruce Willis in G.I. Joe 2 By Anthony
In other interesting spots around the web is a new image of Bruce Willis doing something we’ve only seen him do a million times before: aiming a gun. This particular photo is from the upcoming “G.I. Joe” sequel and features Willis as the original Joe.

The Hunger games is wrecking box offices worldwide and as the cleanup crews come to straighten things up to get re-destroyed this weekend someone managed to uncover this photo within the wreckage. It appears that our young heroine will next appear in the Mark Tonderai horror film.
