Trailer: Ruby Sparks
— Posted by Ryan
A trailer for the film Ruby Sparks has been released. The film stars Paul Dano, Zoe Kazan, and Annette Bening. The film tells the story of a writer who manifests his perfect woman through his writing. Take a look at the trailer below and tell us what you think.
The film looks interesting, but we’ve seen this idea before in the film Stranger Than Fiction. The idea that he can write his ideal woman could bring about some very humorous moments in the film. I like Paul Dano, I really think he’s talented but I’m more interested in the performances of some of the supporting cast. Chris Messina, Alia Shawkat, and Deborah Ann Woll(True Blood) are all in the supporting cast list and I would like to see what their roles will be in this film. From watching the trailer, I’m indifferent about the film so I’m waiting for more media to hit before I make my assumptions.

First and foremost, Ryan Brown is a fan. He has been an avid fan of both the theater and cinema since an early age and his passion for both has been continually growing ever since. When dissecting a film, he focuses on all elements of film-making including some fan/cult factors. He believes that character development is the foundation of a good film and usually starts his analysis of a film from there moving forward. His writing style may be influenced by his background of narrative and argumentative studies in the subject, but he tends to enjoy a more conversational style to better interact with the readers, unlike some other pretentious and pompous writers.
