Pacific Rim: Visual effects behind the scenes look

— Posted by Elliot Hopper

A small excerpt of ‘the digital artistry of Pacific Rim’ has been put online by Warner Bros. It’s a really cool behind the scenes look at the visual effects development and direction done by ILM and Guillermo del Toro. I’m going to keep the comments from myself really short, so if you’ve seen the film (or not, ie. you should), check out this 3:00 minute showcase below. (Maybe a taste of the extras to come once the movie hits home video.)

"To those of you who know me: you will be aware by now that my ambition is unlimited. You know that I will settle for nothing short of greatness, or I will die trying. To those of you who do not yet know me: allow me to introduce myself. My name is Peter Weyland, and if you'll indulge me, I'd like to change the world."

—Guy Pearce as Peter Weyland from Prometheus, 2012
