Anthony Mackie and Jennifer Connelly try to find a ‘Shelter’

Anthony Mackie is easily becoming one of my favorite actors to watch and teaming with Jennifer Connelly for an intimate film as 2 homeless people who fall in love seems to be a great step for each of them. Here’s the trailer:

The music in this trailer carries a sort of humility that we’re seeing these two individuals at the lowest points of their lives. I fell in love with Connelly’s performances in Requiem for a Dream and seeing her return to a role in which she’s destitute is a welcome move as far as I’m concerned. Mackie doesn’t have a commanding performance in this trailer but his understated immigrant seems to be the moral compass of the movie. One has to wonder what brought these two to this point in their lives? Drugs? Financial ruin? What were their lives like prior to this perdicament?

This movie fast tracked passed ‘attention’ to ‘interest’.
