THE SEX ADDICT:

This is my off-beat movie to see of the week. Somewhat of an experimental movie from writer, director and star of the film Amir Mo. A PhD student decides to do a documentary about Rex (Mo), who is a sex addict, so she follows him and documents his exploits. This is a goofy kinda movie and has some interesting characters. Rex is a witty charismatic playboy, but also a douchy fool. On the other hand the student Suzanna Murphy is a wide-eyed witness to this world of sex addiction. The actress Valerie Tosi who plays Murphy really sounds and talks like Emma Stone, maybe it was also the red hair that reminded me of her. Former SNL man Horatio Sanz makes an appearance, as well as Borat actor Ken Davitian and actor Bryan Callen, all playing themselves in the movie. If you’re in a mood for a silly comedy that will make you chuckle, then give this a shot.
