Looks like John Carpenter is set to return to directing after producing the remake of his old movie The Fog, according to Zap2it:
John Carpenter will direct “The 13th Apostle,” his first movie since 2001.
Carpenter (“Halloween”) was drawn to Paul Margolis’ “Apostle” script, which was submitted to his “John Carpenter Presents” mentoring program, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Margolis is a television scribe whose credits include several episodes of “MacGyver.”
In “Apostle,” a Pittsburgh detective investigating a series of murders joins forces with a stockbroker to go undercover in an Internet serial killer club.
Sounds interesting, but do you think Carpenter can return to his previous form and break the recent run of not so good movies? What’s your favourite Carpenter film, I have many…but my favourite line has to be “I’ve come here to kick ass and chew bubblegum, and I’m all outta bubblegum”!
