Go rent DareDevil As I

Go rent DareDevil
As I mentioned in a previous post, I think that DareDevil is thus far the most underrated film this year. Let’s get one thing straight right up front, I’m not a Ben Affleck fan. To be honest, I nearly passed on seeing this movie all together just because he was in it. However, the presence of Jennifer Garner and Michael Clarke Duncan was enough to get me to the theater. I’m glad it did!

Colin Farrell was a huge surprise for me in this flick. I think Bullseye is now my second favorite comic-movie villain of all time just behind Jack Nicolson’s Joker. Duncan never fails to impress me. Only he could have pulled off a black KingPin. Not to mention I think he might be the largest man on the planet! Getting back to Affleck for a moment, I must admit that he did a good job. I personally thought he nailed the character and I’m not having a hard time imagining who could have filled the roll better.

At any rate, DareDevil just came out on DVD recently, so if you haven’t already seen it, I would highly recommend running out to your local video store and grabbing it for the weekend. I think you’ll be pleasantly surprised. It’s not the best comic film of all time, but it’s a fun couple of hours nonetheless.
