Holy crap do Asians ever tell good ghost stories. I’m not generally a horror movie fan but I make a HUGE exception for Asian ghost films because there have been some goooooood ones lately (The Ring, The Eye, Dark Water, Juon) and it looks like there are a couple more coming down the pipe.
First up is a Vietnamese film called Spirits that looks to have been shot independently in the US. It just premiered out on the west coast and the trailer is all creepy atmosphere … sweet stuff … check it out here.
Secondly is Tomobiki from Japan that looks to be carrying on the fine tradition of creepy as hell Japanese films … seriously, there’s a scene towards the end of this trailer that’ll have you taking a wee jump back from your screen … trailer’s the third link from the bottom in the left hand column.
