It appears there is indeed going to be a Rush Hour 3. As much as I dislike Chris Tucker (oh that man can be annoying), I have to admit I’ve really enjoyed the first two and welcome the idea of seeing another one. Jackie Chan and Tucker, while not really funny on their own, have a great comedic chemistry together. I think I wet myself laughing 3 or 4 times in Rush Hour 2. The nice guys over at Moviehole offer up this:
Brett Ratner says you can forget about the rumours that Jackie Chan doesn’t wanna play ball with “Rush Hour 3″, he’s already signed him.
“No, we have deals,” Ratner tells MSNBC. “The deals are done from what I understand. It doesn’t mean I’m going to make the movie next. I always have three or four movies in development, so when I’m done I can just jump into the one that’s closest.” Chris Tucker – who will also star in a Ratner produced sequel to 1997’s “Money Talks” – is also signed. New Line is aiming to get “Rush Hour 3” in theatres sometime in ’06.
No Oscars here folks, just some good fun at the theater. I’m looking forward to it. Now, if only they can figure out a way to get Zhang Ziyi into the film. Mmmmmmm.
