Dracula’s travels on Demter movie

BramStokerDracula.jpgThere’s a couple of items popped up about this movie Demeter, which chronicles the voyage of the ship by that very name that carried Dracula across to England in Bram Stokers novel. The crew never made it to the mainland alive (oh no! I gave away the ending!), only Dracula survived and a scurry of rats. Perhaps he changed them all into rats?

However they’ve been quickly retracted, with the rumours being just that, rumours. However, Coming Soon now have word from Dread Central that the movie has a new Director, . Not quite as exciting as the failed rumour that it was to star Adrien Brody and Val Kilmer.

…Patrick Tatopoulous has replaced Robert Schwentke in the director’s chair.

Tatopoulos has made a name for himself in the FX industry designing the new Godzilla and most recently creating the lycans and vampires for Len Wiseman’s Underworld universe.

That does make me think that the big head vamp guy (Dracula) should look pretty cool at least, but the rest of the film could be quite an unknown. More news to come we hope.
