Eddie Izzard documentary to be released

EddieIzzard.jpgEddie Izzard is more than just one of the best comedians of our age, and his foray into acting could well be charted as a rising curve graph, something which of late has been looking significantly higher. Anyone who saw his UK TV drama appearance in 40 would be surprised of how good he has become, but not surprised he had it in him.

Acting aside, perhaps there is now a chance to see who lies behind the actor\comedian Izzard with a new documentary set to be distributed. Reuters has news:

Indie distributor ThinkFilm has acquired all North American rights to a documentary about Emmy-winning comedian Eddie Izzard.

The untitled film, which has been in production for about three years, will combine performance footage, interviews with friends, family and fans, and extensive material documenting the life, both onstage and off, of the comedian…

…ThinkFilm, the company behind Oscar-nominated documentary “Born into Brothels”, hopes to unveil the Izzard film in September at the Toronto International Film Festival, with Izzard doing a live performance as part of the presentation.

Good news for all Canadian fans, and those non fans should take note, this guy is really funny and very talented. Get yourselves over there!
