Michael Chiklis is on fire right now, and for good reason. He’s just about to be blasted across our screens in The Fantastic Four, and he continues to do great work in the TV series The Shield, now he’s moving into horror.
According to IGN through Rope of Silicon, Chiklis revealed that he’d just signed the deal for the Ghost House Pictures movie produced by Sam Raimi.
I think I am allowed to talk about it… I’m doing a picture called Rise with me and Lucy Liu, which is a thriller, horror genre.
“Sebastian Gutierrez [is directing]. He’s only done a couple of films as a director, but he wrote Gothika and a couple of pictures…”I’m really incredibly excited about John Toll being the cinematographer…’ He shot Legends of the Fall and Braveheart and he just most recently [did] The Last Samurai. [He’s] a real photographer, you know?
“That genre can be a little scary. I don’t mean at the theater, I mean it can be scary as an actor to get involved with a project like that because some of them are really well done and some of them are schlock.
I’ve a lot of time for Chiklis for his role in Shield, and I think we’ve yet to see his true talents on the big screen, so a different genre movie for him to tackle and this time without anything covering his face, could help us see just that.
