Well we all expected the glut of “Superhero in real life circumstances” movies to arrive and they are just beginning, however all is not as bad as it seems with this story from Coming Soon:
Luke Wilson is in talks to topline Super Ex for Regency Enterprises, says The Hollywood Reporter. Ivan Reitman is directing the film, written by Don Payne, an Emmy winner as The Simpsons writer/co-executive producer.
The story centers on a man who finds out that the woman he is dating is a superhero; she decides to use her powers against him after he breaks up with her for being too controlling and neurotic.
How cool does that sound? How many mad ex’s have you had that will allow you to relate to this story…there’s a few for me…and by throwing the comedy element into it with the Superpowers I think this could be set for something really funny. Reitman and Payne could also prove to be an interesting line up for the writing credits. What do you think, funny or rubbish?
