I’d heard this title before somewhere, but I’d never really picked up on what the movie was or who was in it. Starring Ralph Fiennes, Rachel Weisz, Bill Nighy and Pete Postlethwaite, the John Le Carré novel adaptation The Constant Gardener looks like a good movie.
However, it seems to be having one of those identity crisis things going on. The blurb on IMDB as well as the poster over at the trailer site suggest a love story against a turbulent backdrop. Then, watching the trailer, you’d not be mistaken for thinking this is a deep rooted political thriller. Coming from Carré that’s what I would expect, but which is right, both?
I still found the trailer quite exciting and the promise of these stars together has me more than interested. What about you?
