I’m officially dying to see The Proposition. It’s appears to be one of those films based on an impossible situation that you have no idea how the main character is going to manage. From the trailer and from everything I’ve read about the film, here’s the impossible situation:
3 very close brothers are outlaws. The oldest one is the most wanted. The two youngest brothers get captured. The “police” captain tells the middle brother (Guy Pearce) that he’s going to execute the youngest brother. However, the captain makes the middle brother a proposition. He’ll let Pearce escape… and spare the youngest brothers life… if Pearce (after escaping) kills the oldest brother once he finds him.
If that premise wasn’t enough to get me excited about the project… check out this cast. Guy Pearce, Tom Budge, Emily Watson, Ray Winstone, David Wenham (Faramir from Lord of the Rings) and John Hurt (from everything). Yeah… sign me up.
