X-Men 3 casting and rumours

X-Men3-TeaserPoster.jpgMore from Comic Movie News on the casting for X-Men 3. First up is the story that the young actor Cameron Bright is signed for a character we haven’t really heard from before, Leech.

Actor Cameron Bright who previously appeared in the ‘Godsend’ and ‘The Butterfly Effect’ movies will now be playing the role of Leech in X-Men 3…”Cam booked the role of Leech in the next X-men movie. The script is hush hush so I cant say much more as that is all I know. He will be shaved bald though and he is looking forward to that.”

Then there’s a second story with an interview from IESB with Summer Glau and Morena Baccarin, stars of the series Firefly and upcoming film Serenity. Glau revealed something about the casting for X-Men 3.

…when she auditioned for the role of Kitty Pryde in X-Men 3. She says that she called Joss right after her audition and mentioned the script/lines she read, according to Summer Joss recognized the dialogue because it was right out of the Astonishing X-Men comic books.

Surely a fan like Whedon who can recognise the story from one of the comic books can alleviate some of our script fears for the third installment? Surely?
