Harrison Ford in Manhunt

HarrisonFord.jpgNo, not the Spielberg movie, this one is set to be another Lincoln related movie with Harrison Ford set to play a war hero, no surprise there. According to Coming Soon:

Harrison Ford is set to topline Civil War thriller Manhunt for Walden Media, portraying war hero Col. Everton Conger, leader of the search for Abraham Lincoln’s assassin.

Variety says the film will be produced by Lawrence Bender with Mike Rich (The Rookie, Finding Forrester) writing the screenplay.

The project will focus on the tense days after Lincoln’s assassination in 1865 and follow the New York Cavalry as it solves the mystery that eventually leads to John Wilkes Booth, uncovering a plot that threatens to plunge the nation back into war.

The story will be based on an as yet unwritten book which is an hour by hour account of the search for the Assassin Booth.

What is it with Hollywood, when someone has a good idea they latch onto it and make it from all angles? Mind you, to be fair the Lincoln Biopic was being made and perhaps this book has taken the idea from that, and the book isn’t exactly Hollywood is it?…Still it’s a trend of Hollywood to latch onto the latest topic and make mulitple films.

Personally, I think this will be more interesting than the biopic, what do you think?
