Fango has the scoop on Tim Sullivan’s cannibalistic chiller 2001 Maniacs. It appears that this gruesome tail of misfortuned travelers will be holding it’s 35mm screaming at the 2005 Screamfest in Los Angeles California.
Director/co-writer Tim Sullivan sent over this exclusive pic from his 2001 MANIACS, to tie in with the announcement of the movie’s 35mm premiere and the Internet launch of its trailer. Pictured are Anderson (Jay Gillespie) and Joey (Marla Malcolm) meeting a “double decap” fate in the movie, which updates the Herschell Gordon Lewis gorefest about a Southern town that extends a very special kind of hospitality to some visitors from the North.
The trailer is also now available online and can be viewed at iFilms(dot)com. Warning; this trailer is not exactly made for TV, so there is adult language, nudity, extreme violence and a few other things which makes this movie look really cool!
I am looking forward to 2001 Maniacs. From the trailer alone, it gives us hot chicks, comedy, some interesting gore, a creative story -even if it may be slightly cheesy- and finally; 2001 Maniacs gives us one of the Princes of horror, Robert Englund! All of the necessary ingredients for an entertaining horror flick.
