The Children of Narnia

Any conversation that involves the topic “What films am I most looking forward to” will have to include at least a mention of The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe. Man I can’t wait to see this movie!

Probably the biggest factor in the “success” of this film will deepened on how well the kids in the movie are able to pull off their roles. Child actors so rarely work out well.

Right now, the good folks over at the BBC have a nice little article up on these kids. Nothing ground breaking or any Narnia details in the article… but it’s a nice read. Here’s an excerpt:

The youngest of the four, Georgie Henley, 10, from Ilkley, West Yorkshire, who stars as Lucy, is making her professional acting debut. “This is my first movie so it’s quite overwhelming for me, but it’s amazing,” she said. “I don’t want to sound selfish or anything, but I kind of like being in the spotlight. It’s nice to be noticed.”

How the hell does a 10 year old use words like “overwhelming”? I respect this kid already. Anyway, if you’d like to read the whole article you can just hop on over here.
