Festival wins at Scottish BAFTA’s

ScottishBafta.jpgThe Scottish Bafta’s held their ceremony in Glasgow and the winners have been announced…I’m upset I wasn’t invited, especially since Jenni Falconer was hosting, however, I’ll live. The main winner appears to have been Festival which came away with Best Actor and Best Director.

The BBC have the full list of winners of both Film and TV from BAFTA Scotland.

  • Best Short Film – Dupe
  • Best Animation – A Bus Ride and Flowers in her Hair
  • Best Screenplay – Alex Rose for On A Clear Day
  • Best Documentary – The Holyrood Files
  • Best Actress in a Scottish Film – Shirley Henderson for Frozen
  • Best Actor in a Scottish Film – Chris O’Dowd for Festival
  • Best Director – Annie Griffin for Festival
  • UGC Audience Award – Night People
  • Best Film – On A Clear Day
  • Outstanding Achievement in Film – Iain Smith

I have to hang my head in shame and admit I have seen none of these movies as yet…and I’m Scottish, how embarassing! However I do expect them to gain another lease of life in Edinburgh Cinemas after these announcements so expect follow up reviews.
