John Lennon murder movie

LindsayLohan.jpgI had wondered when this was going to come to the big screen, and I was always thinking that someone like Oliver Stone would be the one to film it and bring some deep rooted moralistic view to it, filling it with big name actors…however the news from Variety through Coming Soon is that it’s possibly not so weighty.

Lindsay Lohan and Jared Leto are set to star in Chapter 27, a film about the murder of John Lennon, says Variety. The movie was written by Jarrett Schaeffer, who will make his feature directing debut. Leto will play Lennon’s murderer Mark Chapman, while Lohan will play a devoted Lennon fan who befriends Chapman on the weekend in 1980 when he kills the former Beatle.

Mmmm…Lohan and Leto…I wonder who will be playing Lennon? Who could play Lennon, and considering the actors already signed, are we looking at a lightweight version of the story? Lohan is certainly trying to kick up her career a rung or two on the serious ladder!
