Terminator on TV

terminator_silver.jpgYes you read that right, according to The Guardian there’s going to be a Terminator TV series based on Sarah and John Connor and placed between the second and third movies, it’s billed as – wait for it…

…not be a guns-and-car-chases series, partly because of the reduced budgets on television: “There’s going to be a healthy dose of both [action and family drama],” he said, noting that the Terminator franchise “has a lot of big ideas in it that don’t cost you a dime to explore”.

He is in fact Josh Friedman the writer of Chain Reaction, War of the Worlds and The Black Dahlia.

Hamilton is not expected to reprise her role. And neither is Arnold Schwarzenegger.

No surprise there, but that’s not all, because there’s talk of tying in with the Terminator 4 movie in development, and the exact quote is…

the show’s producers said that a fourth Terminator is in development and that the series will have a link to what’s being envisioned as a new feature trilogy.

That’s from the show Producer James Middleton. A new trilogy of Terminator movies? Well Arnie won’t stand three, maybe one. There’s definitely a handover of the Terminator body then, perhaps one more with Arnie bowing to the new model?
