Thomas Jane (the dude from The Punisher… a movie that I actually liked despite the fact that most other people didn’t) has signed on for the lead role in a Role Playing Game to Film adaptation of “The Mutant Chronicles“.
Wow… if Dungeons and Dragons was any indication of how bad a Role Playing Game movie can be, then I’m not holding out a lot of hope for this idea. But at the same time, the synopsis sounds like it could hold some brainless fun. The good folks over at Cinema Confidential give us this:
Based on Paradox Entertainment’s popular game, Jane will play Major Mitch Hunter, a 23rd century soldier who leads humans in a fight against “a demonic, marauding army of underworld NecroMutants.”
HaHa! like I said… sounds really stupid but it could be fun. I’ll give Thomas Jane a shot in this role for sure. I just hope he gets around to Punisher 2.
