Park Chan-Wook’s New Projects

Park Chan-WookTalk about having a flare for the unusual! Director Park Chan-Wook (Old Boy, Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance) has to more projects on his plate that show if nothing else, the guy likes to be original!

The first is a love story between a guy and a woman who thinks she’s a cyborg! Too funny! What’s even better is the English translation of the title (which has no English title yet by the way). The translation of the title is “Even If You’re A Cyborg, It’s No Problem“. Brilliant!

The Good folks over at Empire give us the lowdown on his other project (A Vampire one lo less!):

a vampire horror simply called The Bat. The plot is tightly under wraps, but Wook has been blabbing about his intentions: “It’s more about the question of the existence of God and Evil than a regular vampire movie. I’m not so interested in the vampire genre per se,” he added, “more in the religious theme,” he told Variety.

Ok, these may SOUND a little weird at first, but I really wish more guys like Park Chan Wook were in Hollywood these days. Not afraid to try things WAY out of the box and take some chances… and actually make them pretty good at the same time.

I’m sorry… I’m still giggling over “Even If You’re A Cyborg, It’s No Problem”
