I’ve now seen this in two places and I still can’t believe it, but according to rumour Matt Damon (the one who has talent) and Ben Affleck (the one who is married to someone gorgeous) have openly talked about a remake of the classic Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid.
Perhaps in some way they think of themselves as the modern day Paul Newman and Robert Redford? Well I know what I think of that, and it’s far from positive.
However, even with Digital Spy carrying the story today and a story last week sometime from Cinematical, I can’t see this as much more than an offhand comment or one of those reporter suggested quotes. You know where the reporter says “wouldn’t it be cool if…” and the stars say “hadn’t thought about that, but it does sound…”. Could you see this happening, much less working?
