The new Duck Season trailer is now online. The poster for the new film boasts “Alfonso Cuarón (the director of Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, a horrible movie, and Y tu mamá también, an amazing movie) Presents”, however Fernando Eimbcke is listed as the director and Alfonso Cuarón’s name is not listed anywhere on the Internet Movie Database as being involved with the project at all. So take that for what it’s worth.
Now, having said that, the Duck Season trailer is actually quite an interesting one. The film is in black and white and looks at the adventure of 4 young people on one Sunday morning. The synopsis for the film reads like this:
Takes you into one particular Sunday morning in the lives of two fourteen-year old boys, Flama and Moko. With their neighbor Rita and pizza delivery boy Ulises, they create their own adventures to overcome their boredom. “Duck Season” explores the loneliness of childhood, the effects of divorce and the curious power of love and friendship.
I also really like the music in the trailer as well… overall I loved the whole feel of it. I tend to enjoy films that focus on events in 1 day too.
