I really enjoyed Hellboy. I never read a single one of the comics before going to see it.. I thought it looked kind of stupid from the ads… the premise didn’t do anything for me at all… and yet I walked out loving it.
Director Guillermo Del Toro knows its potential as a franchise is so strong that he turned down Halo to keep giving Hellboy his full attention (he may still end up doing Halo, but even if he does he’s said Halo would be second priority to Hellboy).
The good folks over at IESB recently did an interview with Doug Jones, the man in the mask for Abe Sapien. In a nutshell, Doug lets us know that Abe will have much more screen time in Hellboy 2, and we’ll actually get to see him in combat. Yay! I love that character.
The other thing Doug let on was that Del Toro is already planning on a Hellboy 3, which is good news for us film fans! You can see the whole interview over here.
