I love Paul Giamatti. I still think it’s a shame the man didn’t win Best Supporting Actor for his role in Cinderella Man… but oh well. But this is good news! It looks like Giamatti is hooking up with Vince Vaughn for the project that was going to be called “Fred Claus”, a story where Vince plays the bad little brother of Santa… and Giamatti plays Santa! This has gold written all over it.
Apparently an issue came up over copyright for the name “Fred Claus”, so a new title will be attached to the film soon. I can’t wait to see this one.
The movie is being directed by Wedding Crashers director David Dobkin. Bring it on! I think Giamatti and Vaughn will make a killer on screen team. (via Empire)
