Still The Superhero Movie I Most Want To See Get Made

Grayson Fan FilmI’ve been in a bit of a nostalgic mood of late, looking back over old Movie Blog archives just for fun. This morning I came across a post I did about a fan film called “Grayson” over a year ago.

Grayson is the story of Dick Grayson (aka Robin of Batman fame), who is much older now, a husband and father (looks like he married Barbara Gordon) who decides to avenge the murder of his mentor when no one else, including Superman, seems to be doing anything about it.

There is no film. As of right now there is only a 5 minute trailer while the director tries to get funding to make the whole thing. But for my money, this is still the Superhero film I would most want to see get made. The look and feel of the story is amazing, and probably even more true to the spirit of the Dark Knight comics that Batman Begins was.

It’ll never happen, but I really hope one of these days some studio exec takes a hard look at this thing and decides to take a bit of a risk and produce a full film version of this amazing idea. One can dream.

To see the 5 minute trailer for “Grayson” you can just go here.
