Morgan Freeman Joins Gone, Baby, Gone

Gone, Baby, Gone, the upcoming film being written and directed by Ben Affleck just keeps surprising us. Not only were we stunned to find out last month that Ed Harris had signed up for the cast… but now Morgan Freeman has too!

Freeman and Affleck worked together on Sum Of All Fears a couple of years ago. I guess they must have liked working together. Here’s a quick synopsis:

The thriller follows Affleck and Monaghan’s Beantown private detective duo who, while on a child-abduction case, get enmeshed in a web of drug dealers and police corruption. Harris, last seen menacing The Vig in A History of Violence, will be on the other side of the badge to play Remy Broussard, a special crimes unit cop who assists the dicks on their case.

I don’t know how major of a role Freeman is going to have in the film since shooting has already started. It may be big… it may be small. Either way I’m impressed that Affleck is getting this calibre of talent to work with him on the project. Good for you Ben.
