I absolutely LOVE Bill Nighy (not in a Brokeback way). I have to admit right up front that I’ve only seen about 6 of his films… but every single time he’s appeared in a movie I’ve seen he steals the shot! The man is just an amazing talent.
Aside from the tight leather outfit Kate Beckinsale wore, Nighy was easily the very best thing about Underworld as Viktor. Man, I’d love to see just a Viktor movie. How kick ass would that be?!?!
He was magnificent in his small role in Shaun of the Dead. He was the ONLY good thing about A Constant Gardener. He almost saved The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy with his role near the end, and just flat out awesome on Love Actually. The man can do no wrong.
So how out to lunch have I been?!?! I didn’t even know it was Bill Nighy playing Davey Jones in the new Pirates of the Caribbean film (both of the next 2). As if I wasn’t already excited about seeing it! If anyone is capable of stealing the show from Johnny Depp… it’s Bill Nighy. Man I can’t wait to see this thing.
