Box-Office Betting

gamblingSpeculating on the box-office results is something I find fun and interesting. Well… apparently it can be damn profitable as well. I was listening to my local sports talk radio station (the only radio I listen to when I’m in my car… besides my iPod) and they had one of their regular guests who is a sports betting expert in Las Vegas.

In the midst of talking about the various lines on the Stanley Cup finals, the conversation turned to other areas that are becoming popular for people to bet on. Movie Box-Office results was one of them. Usually just opening weekend numbers, but there are also lines on opening day, first 5 days and first 7 days.

It must be getting big, because today I noticed another site had a similar article up. Hmmmm… I don’t think I’ve been wrong yet on any of my Audio Editions predictions for weekend box office results yet… perhaps it’s time for me to get a bookie. :P
