Hitman Movie Moving Forward

Ah yes, the video-game-to-screen movie continues. A while ago we reported that a movie version of the popular game “Hitman” was being developed. Things have moved along pretty well.

The good folks over at Dark Horizons give us this:

The story centers on an international assassin known as Agent 47 who works for a mysterious org dubbed the Agency. Alter says that (writer) Skip Wood’s script has been turned in and has been “Extremely well received by everyone at the studio” according to the producers and the studio should be going out to directors soon.

Keep in mind, it apparently doesn’t take much to have something “well received” by a studio these days. But still… that’s a positive sign at least. Like most films, one of the keys to this whole thing will be who they nab to direct this sucker. If they were smart, they would have had a director picked out before approving the script. But oh well… when have they ever been accused of being “Too Smart”?
